Meeting on Connecting Optical Networks of Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia Agreed in Brussels

A new trilateral meeting dedicated to a project for connecting the optical networks of Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia in border regions will be held in June this year. An agreement for the meeting was reached during talks in Brussels between European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Günther Oettinger, Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications, Valeri Borisov, and the Minister of Information Society and Communication of Romania Marius Bostan. It is expected that the business plan of the project will be finalized during the June meeting and then it would serve as a model for other initiatives in the European Union.
