Half a year ahead of the parliamentary elections, the approval ratings margin between the ruling centre-right party GERB and the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has dwindled to 3.0%, according to a poll conducted by Gallup International in November.
GERB would be backed by 23% of the voters and BSP would get some 20% support if the elections were held today, compared to 24% versus 19% in October, local daily Pressa reported, quoting the poll results.
The Movement for Rights and Freedom would garner 6.0% of the votes, followed closely by the Bulgaria of Citizens Movement led by former EU Commission Meglena Kuneva with 5.0%.
Nationalist party Ataka and the right-wing Union of Democratic Forces and Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria would not make it into parliament if the elections were held today, the poll showed.
