MAF: Bulgaria Will Receive 6 Million Euros Support for the Dairy Sector

Bulgaria will receive aid totalling 6 million euros for the crisis in the dairy sector. This became clear during the informal meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Luxembourg.
The total aid package allocated between EU Member States amounted to 420 million euros, the press centre of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food announced.
“It's very important that funds are not of the crisis budget, but an additional resource that should support farmers immediately. We appreciate the fact that some of the proposals concerning the crisis in dairy sector we made in December last year are set in the package,” Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva said.
Minster Taneva said that Bulgaria has imposed a complete ban by Russia on exports of plant products as of September 1 this year.
