The 16th edition of the traditional expo "Made in Bulgaria" opens Friday with the participation of over 300 Bulgarian companies.
The expo will be held November 12 - 21 at the National Palace of Culture in downtown Sofia.
A poll conducted especially for the event shows that over 27% of the respondents buy goods made in Bulgaria to encourage local industry while 16% prefer them over their lower prices.
The exhibitors will present various goods - clothing, shoes, lingerie, accessories, jewelry, cosmetics, furniture, books, food, beverages and others, all made in Bulgaria. These are companies that have secured the trust of local consumers and for this reason were able to remain on the market despite the economic crisis, the organizers say while noting certain stagnation in the number of participants. 15 new companies will have displays during the 16th edition.
An estimated 18 000 visitors are expected.
The expo will also present for the first time a display of healthy food, beverages and other products. Over 50 companies will present them under the title Bio & Eco Expo between November 17th and 20th.
