The State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad published online latest data on Bulgarian communities abroad. The largest among those are the ones in the USA, Ukraine, Moldova, Greece, Spain, Germany, Austria and Italy.
The communities have created their own structures, such as cultural associations, schools, Orthodox municipalities, libraries, websites etc. in 63 countries worldwide. Bulgarians in Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Hungary have their status of national minorities.
However, the exact number of those minorities' members is unknown due to different estimations and migration processes. /Source: BNR/
