Las Incantadas Attracted 170,000 Visitors of TIF

Over 200,000 people visited the 80th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) despite that difficult economic climate, the capital controls and the banking holiday imposed in Greece. The number of visitors reached 216,300 and 170,000 of them visited "Las Incantadas", the statues that are known as "the Caryatides of Thessaloniki" that returned home (as copies from Louvre), 150 years after their stealing from the city. Pavilion 3 that hosts Las Incantadas and the exhibition "the most important inventions and the music instruments of the Ancient Greeks " will close for a short period for maintenance works and will reopen in early October. TIF-Hellexpo will gift the statues to the city when the suitable location to place them will be found.
