Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko welcomed the brightest stars of the cast
In two consecutive weekends Bansko was the ultimate destination for in alpine skiing - as the elite athletes of the white sport gathered here for the regular starts of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup.
Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko welcomed the current winner of the Crystal Globe, the German Maria Hoefl-Riesch, as well as Lindsey Vonn, who turned out to be the Number 1 favorite of the passionate Bulgarian fans.
A unique charity VIP Gala generated 19 700 BGN, which will be donated in support of the talented young skiers of Ski club "Ulen". The VIP Gala dinner took place in the VIP tent at the very ski track or 1620 meters above sea level. The event attracted the elite of Bulgarian business world and was personally attended by few ministers, as well as the recently elected new President of Bulgaria, Mr. Rossen Plevneliev.
The highlight of the dinner was the personal appearance of five of the top ladies in alpine skiing - Lindsey Vonn, Julia Mancuso, Maria Riesch, Lara Gut and Anja Paerson. Three of the VIPs won vouchers for a free stay at three of the unique European properties of Kempinski in Europe - in Prague, Hamburg, and London.
