Kardzhali-Podkova Road Opens on Feb 4

A road section worth 54 million levs ($37.3 million/27.6 million euro), which connects the city of Kardzhali with the village of Podkova, part of a road to the Greek border, will be launched on February 4, the national agency for road infrastructure said.

The construction of the 24-kilometre road was co-funded under EU cohesion fund and operational programme Transport 2007-2013.

The road is part of Pan-European Transport Corridor IX connecting Finland and Russia to Greece.
