Jobless Rate Stands at 28% in November

Unemployment rate in Greece stood at 28% in November, compared to 26.3% a year earlier and 27.7% in October 2013, the Athens Agency-Macedonian Press Agency reported, quoting official statistics.

The number of unemployed people totaled 1,382,062 in November, as more than six out 10 young people aged 15-24 was out of work, the news agency added.

Unemployment was highest in Macedonia-Thrace (29.7%), Attica (28.9%) and Epirus (28.8%).
