It Will Become Clear at End-October if Electricity Price for Business Could go Down: Bulgaria Energy Watchdog Chair
Tuesday, 15 September 2015
“It will become clear at the end of October where the electricity price for business could go down,” said Ivan Ivanov, Chairperson of Bulgaria’s Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC), speaking in front of the watchdog body, referring to the employers’ intention to stage a fresh protest unless the public service obligation levy is decreased, the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reports.
According to Ivanov, sufficient reserves have to be found for a decrease to be seen.
“When we make a decision, we take into account the possibilities of the energy system to function normally, to put it otherwise, to gradually exit the situation of a financial collapse, which the National Electricity Company (NEK) and the Bulgarian energy sector in general face,” the EWRC chair commented.
