The executive director of Bulgaria’s investment promotion agency InvestBulgaria, Borislav Stefanov, has submitted his resignation, news portal Dnevnik.bg reported.
Stefanov told Dnevnik.bg his decision was prompted by the fact that over the past three months he had been unable to get in touch with any cabinet member except deputy prime minister Bobeva, which prevented him from performing his duties.
“[…] The agency is very dependent on interaction with the other institutions. If a given company calls us and we cannot make contact with a given minister, there is no way we can do our job,” Stefanov said.
In his view, foreign investors are not interested which party is in power but if a country is politically stable, as this has an immediate effect on the business climate.
