International Committee to Assess State of Nuclear Science in Bulgaria

The educational ministry has reported that a team of the European Organization for Nuclear Research /CERN/ is in Bulgaria to carry out monitoring of the state of nuclear science in the country. The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Sofia University, the Medical University, the Technical University, the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy and the Plovdiv University are the most active partners of CERN in this country. Physics, medicine, chemistry, biology and engineering are the spheres with best scientific results here. Bulgaria is among the most active participants in CERN auctions and is ranked 4th in terms of procurements won for facilities and services in 2017 and 2018.
