IMF appoints new mission chief for Bulgaria

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Friday that Jean-Francois Dauphin has been appointed as European Department Mission Chief for Bulgaria as of February 1, 2021.

Dauphin, who is also currently the mission chief for Hungary, has worked on countries in North and Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and Eastern Europe, and contributed to developing IMF policies in its Strategy, Policy and Review Department, the IMF said in a statement.

The former mission chief for Bulgaria, Jaewoo Lee, was appointed as Chief of the Emerging Economies Unit of the IMF European Department.
