IKEA opened its first Sofia store on September 20th. More than 500 guests attended the traditional Swedish breakfast at the opening day.
In the store launch campaign, DDB has used all communication channels, including TV, press, outdoor advertising, radio, internet, creative media in the city streets and Sofia subway.
The newly established IKEA Bulgaria Facebook fan page has grown with 10 000 followers within a month period, a growth rate rarely observed in the Bulgarian internet community.
The opening campaign has generated customer traffic of more than 130 000, a definite success, according to the store management.
DDB Sofia, part of the DDB wordwide network, has been established in Bulgaria 18 years ago.
