ICGB, the company developing the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria project, said it has resumed the 8.45 million euro ($9.7 million) tender for the selection of owner's engineer, after a temporary suspension over complaints filed with the Bulgarian competition authority. The new deadline for submitting applications is September 5, ICGB said in a statement earlier this week. The procedure had been suspended due to a complaint filed with the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) by local company Fruta - BV on May 22. The regulator opened proceedings in relation to the complaint on July 2. In its complaint, Fruta - BV asked for temporary suspension of the tender until the proceedings are completed but its request was denied by the competition regulator on July 12. Fruta - BV appealed the decision before the Supreme Administrative Court, which subsequently upheld the regulator's decision. The decision of the Supreme Administrative Court, which entered into force on August 3, is final.
