How to get a vaccine certificate?


  1. Upon receiving the second dose of the vaccine the respective healthcare institution notifies the Ministry of Health which then adds individuals in the National Immunisation Registry of Bulgaria.
  2. The vaccinated individual receives the Vaccination Certificate in both Bulgarian and English based on the aforementioned information.
  3. The Vaccine Certificate can be received personally by the individual either from the respective healthcare establishment or their personal general practitioner, or directly from the National Immunisation Registry if the individual owns an qualified electronic signature. In the event that the individual cannot personally receive their certificate, they are obligated to authorize a person via notary who could get the passport on their behalf.
  4. The issued document is standardized for the European Union.
