Hellinikon project approved by Council of State

The Council of State plenary put its final stamp of approval on Tuesday on the Hellinikon project on the Attica shore, particularly on the so-called Metropolitan Park of Hellinikon-Agios Kosmas, an ambitious plan totalling 6 billion euros.
In its irrevocable decision, the highest administrative court of Greece rejected petitions by area residents and by ecological organizations including WWF Hellas, who called for the cancellation of a presidential decree approving the comprehensive development plan for the Park, which will extend over nearly 700 hectares.
