Hellenic Petroleum Expands Operations in Renewable Energy Sector

Hellenic Petroleum Renewables, a member of Hellenic Petroleum Group, has wrapped up the acquisition of Pylos-Methoni Energy, owner of a wind park with a power capacity of 6.8 megawatts (MW), the Athens News Agency - Macedonian Press Agency reported.
The wind park has eight wind energy turbines with an estimated annual electricity output of 15,000 MW.
Hellenic Petroleum plans to develop a significant grid of renewable energy sources in the coming years, including wind and photovoltaic projects, the news agency added.
Its portfolio comprises a number of photovoltaic projects currently in operation and projects with a total power of 200 MW.
