The price of central heating in Bulgaria may decrease by up to 7% in the next heating season, following a discount in natural gas prices recently agreed with Russia's Gazprom, the head of the state energy regulator Angel Semerdzhiev said.
Domestic prices of natural gas are seen declining as well, by 11% as of July 1, state-run Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) quoted Semerdzhiev as saying.
He, however, stressed that the domestic prices of natural gas are tightly bound to global prices of petroleum products, and any abrupt change on the global markets would be reflected in the price Bulgarians pay.
