The European elections are the first elections after four years so they will reflect the citizens' political views, main opposition New Democracy (ND) vice president Costis Hatzidakis said on Sunday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
He explained that citizens will see it as an opportunity to send their message adding that the Greeks want to get rid of the current government.
He estimated that elections will be held earlier because the existing uncertainty has hurt the economy and the markets.
Hatzidakis underlined the importance of credibility ink order to attract investments. Therefore, he said, credibility must be restored in the Greek economy and this will be achieved through the political change. The government of New Democracy will send the message in the markets that Greece has managed to form a normal European government.
