Grid Operator ESO Withdraws Application to Run Day-ahead Exchange

Bulgaria’s grid operator Electricity System Operator (ESO) has pulled out its application to run the country’s day-ahead electricity trading market, planned to start operations in early 2014, the country's energy regulator said.
ESO did not disclose the reasons for its withdrawal, the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC) said in a statement posted on its website.
Within the licensing procedure, the energy watchdog asked ESO to provide additional documents, but the grid operator decided to withdraw its application instead, SEWRC said.
