Greek President Discusses Refugee Crisis with France's Hollande

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos discussed the huge problems facing Greece with the massive refugee influx and the government’s efforts to tackle the issue in a telephone conversation with French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday.
Pavlopoulos stressed the need for a unified and comprehensive addressing on migration, both in terms of security and of protecting human rights, at a top European level. He also urged for the implementation of the European Pact on Immigration and Asylum signed in 2008.
The Presidency said the two officials will discuss the issue again in the coming days.
