Greek prime minister Antonis Samaras has pledged to do everything possible to have the Greek section of the Makaza border checkpoint with Bulgaria ready within two months, the Bulgarian government said.
Speaking over the phone on Friday, Samaras and outgoing Bulgarian prime minister Boiko Borisov stressed that Bulgaria and Greece share excellent relations, the Bulgarian government's press office said in a press release.
On the Bulgarian side, Makaza border checkpoint and the adjacent infrastructure have already been built.
Five checkpoints operate on the border between Bulgaria and Greece.
