The government is building bridges in the Balkans and in the wider region of southeastern Europe, promoting trade and peace in the region, Alternate Energy & Environment Minister Sokratis Famellos told Athens-Macedonian News Agency's (ANA) radio "Praktorio" on Thursday, regarding his visit to Belgrade as head of a mission of 20 Greek businesses.
"We have proven with out policy in the last four years that the government is building bridges not only in the Balkans but in the wider region of southeastern Europe," Famellos told Praktorio. "It creates an environment that produces multiple benefits for Greece, most of all in the field of peace and cooperation among countries and the societies, and economic opportunities," he added.
The aim of the Greek mission, which follows a Serbian Environment Ministry invitation, is "to launch collaborations between the countries at financial and technical level" and specifically "to export know-how in the environment sector."
