Private sector deposits in Greek banks increased by 841 million euros in July to 130.2 billion euros from 129.4 billion the previous month, the Bank of Greece said on Tuesday. The central bank, in a report, said that in July 2018, deposits placed by the general government increased by 287 million euros, compared with a decrease of 471 million in the previous month and the annual growth rate stood at 41.3 pct from 38.7 pct in the previous month. In July 2018, deposits placed by the private sector increased by 841 million euros, compared with an increase of 1,358 million in the previous month and the annual growth rate stood at 7.4 pct from 7.5 pct in the previous month. In July 2018, corporate deposits increased by 301 million euros, compared with an increase of 272 million in the previous month, while the annual growth rate stood at 11.4 pct from 12.6 pct in the previous month.
