Greek Authorities Cautiously Optimistic about Deal with Intl Lenders

Greek authorities voiced cautious optimism about the likelihood of striking a deal with the international lenders within the December 9 deadline, the Athens News Agency - Macedonian Press Agency reported.
“Even though we are covering our differences minute-by-minute on a fiscal gap with the troika, the chances are 50-50 to reach an agreement by December 9,” a finance ministry official  told the news agency.
The troika’s experts are working on the observations made by the finance ministry and the troika’s officials, trying to cut a gap existing between the two sides over a fiscal deficit for 2014 and to close the four remaining prior actions, paving the way for the disbursement of a 1.0 billion euro loan.
