Greece To Return to Economic Growth in 2014, Commissioner Semeta Says

Greece will return to economic growth in 2014,European commissioner for taxation Algirdas Semeta said, as quoted by the Athens News Agency.

There are clear signs of growing confidence in the country, Semeta told the Greek  parliament on Tuesday.
Semeta, however, stressed the need to reform the country’s taxation system, stressing that it is the most important step to economic growth and social cohesion. In his view, the VAT rate cut on food requested by Greece is not a good option.
Semeta also called for “zero tolerance to fraud”.
