Greece's Review Must be Completed by Dec. 14, Says Eurogroup Working Group

The review of Greece's fiscal adjustment programme must be completed by December 14, the Eurogroup's Working Group (EWG) said after meeting in Brussels on Thursday.
According to statements from Greek Finance ministry sources on the meeting, the EWG recognised that there was a closer convergence of views in the talks the last few days between the Greek government and the troika of Greece's creditors, and it strongly urged that both sides reach agreement at technical level by December 14.
The aim is to allow parliamentary procedures of EU member-states to move on the provision of a precautionary credit line to Greece, the source said, adding that given the tight timeline, a short-term technical extension may be necessary.
The issues will be raised at the Eurogroup meeting on Monday (December 8), although no decision should be expected from it, the source said.
