Greece’s import price index in industry recorded a decrease by 2.4% year-on-year in March, after a 4.4% decline recorded in the previous 12-month period, the Athens News Agency-Macedonian Press Agency reported, quoting official statistic data.
The Hellenic Statistical Authority attributed the decrease to a 0.8% drop in the import price index from Eurozone countries and a 4.2% decline in the import price index from countries outside Eurozone, the news agency said.
Month-on-month, the index was down 0.9% in March. The twelve-month average index, from April 2013 to March 2014, decreased by 2.7%.
