Greece Awaits Revised Offer for Hellinikon by March 26

The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund is waiting for Lamda Development, the only bidder in a tender for the lease of the former airport of Hellinikon, to submit a revised bid by March 26, the Athens News Agency-Macedonian Press Agency reported.

Lamda Development plans to create a 2 million sq.m. entertainment park, high-level sport facilities, a new upgraded seafront, and tourism infrastructures. The development is expected to attract one million tourists.

The 7.0 billion euro project will open some 15,000 jobs and will provide directly and indirectly some 50,000 people with employment upon its completion.
