Govt Approves Tourism Bill

Bulgaria's government said it approved a bill on tourism and is moving it to parliament for adoption.

The bill envisages improvements in the coordination of tourism management by broadening the functions of the National Tourist Board, state-run Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported on Wednesday.

It aligns the regulations concerning the local tour-operator and travel-agency businesses with the EU legislative framework.

The new bill will also introduce fixed-term ratings for the local hotel industry, it will broaden the range of ratable establishments and redefine the types of the hotel establishments.
