Government Adopts Report on Implementation of Plan for Preparing Bulgarian EU Presidency

The caretaker Government Wednesday adopted a Report on the Implementation of the Plan for Preparing Bulgaria's EU Presidency due in the first half of 2018, by April 13, the government information service said.
The improved coordination between the various administrative units directly or indirectly engaged in the preparations have achieved considerable progress in implementing the measures set down in the Plan, the report finds. Considerable delays have also been overcome in the process of preparation. A total of 57 measures in the Plan have been implemented, three have been implemented partly and one measure did not have to be implemented.
Twelve measures will be carried out according to the time limits. Many measures are in the process of implementation (25). Their time limit is the middle or the end of the year, or else they are currently being carried out. Urgent action has been undertaken for the implementation of nine measures with a time limit at the end of March with a resulting considerable progress.
