Discussions in Paris were difficult, but it is a step towards the conclusion of the final negotiation, Government Vice-President and PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos said in statements after the meeting with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Thursday, stressing the need for unity in the internal political stage.
Venizelos underlined that "there is no fiscal gap, the fiscal gap is a theoretical discussion on the efficiency of budget measures", adding that that "it has been proven over the years that the budgets are executed and we have achieved a primary surplus earlier than expected" as well as that "there is long experience that strengthens our position."
