Germany's KfW Lends Bulgaria 34.4 Mln Euro for Flood Control, Coastal Protection

German development bank KfW is lending Bulgaria 34.4 million euro (45.3 million) for flood control and coastal protection projects, the bank said on Thursday.  

The project aims to ensure ecologically sustainable river development and reliable flood and erosion control in Russe, on the Danube river, to implement reliable flood control and contribute to economic development in Silistra, also on the Danube, and to ensure reliable coast protection and embankment stabilisation in Pomorie, on the Black Sea coast, KfW said in a statement.
