GERB to Propose Cabinet Lineup Featuring Top-Ranked Ex-Ministers - Ex-Parl Chair
Thursday, 01 January 1970
The centre-right GERB party of former prime minister Boyko Borisov, which has said it will seek cancellation of last week's general elections, plans to nevertheless propose a cabinet lineup featuring the top ranked ministers in the previous government, former parliament chair Tsetska Tsacheva said.
"The cabinet will be headed by former prime minister and party leader Borisov," Tsacheva told the private bTV channel.
Tsacheva added that the proposed line-up will include former ministers Lilyana Pavlova of regional development, Tomislav Donchev of EU funds management and Delyan Dobrev of economy, but not Tsvetan Tsvetanov of the interior.
GERB won a slim victory in the snap general elections but failed to win enough seats to govern alone. It is unlikely to garner the support of the three other parties in parliament for a future cabinet, Tsacheva admitted.
