About a month ahead of the snap elections, ex-prime minister Boiko Borisov's GERB continues to enjoy highest approval, 21.9%, followed by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) with 17.4%, a survey by polling agency Alpha Research showed.
Over the past two months GERB has increased its lead over BSP by 2.0 percentage points, as support for BSP has declined by 1.5 percentage points since January, the study showed.
Nationalist party Ataka registered the sharpest growth in public approval - from 1.9% in January to 5.5% in late March.
President Rosen Plevneliev is the most popular politician, whereas caretaker prime minister Marin Raykov remains relatively unknown to the public, according to the survey.
The survey was conducted among 1,050 respondents in March 22-28.
