Gerapetritis: Five major changes amidst health crisis

Minister of State Giorgos Gerapetritis in an interview with "Ta Nea" newspaper on Sunday referred to the five major changes made amidst the health crisis.

The first one, he said, is the strengthening of the health system with the recruitment of 2,100 permanent doctors and 14,000 nursing and other medical staff as well as the creation of more than double ICUs among others. The second one is the successful vaccination programme. Specifically, he referred among others to the adequacy of vaccines, the digitilisation of the appointment procedure and the large number of vaccination centres.

The third one is the participation of the private sector in the national health system. The fourth one is the digital upgrade with the launch of the gov.gr platform and the covid free app and wallet and the fifth one is the adoption of the EU covid certificate and other related regulations that had a positive impact on Greek tourism.
