EU Digital Economy and Society Commissioner Mariya Gabriel and Bulgarian MEP Andrey Novakov (GERB/EPP) formally launched the first Bulgarian EU pilot project for young entrepreneurs, initiated by Novakov and called "Achieve Leadership in Entrepreneurship and Cooperation Opportunities" (A.L.E.C.O.), GERB said in a press release Saturday.
The programme, which has a budget of 750,000 euros, will provide financial support to young entrepreneurs from EU Member States for up to six-month internships in companies in the US,
Singapore, and Israel. The applicants will receive a monthly stipend of 1,000 euro, and additional money of up to 800 euros for travel fare.
