Foreign Tourists Growth Prognoses for Winter Season in Bulgaria Realistic: Expert

“Prognoses for increase of the number of foreign tourists during the winter tourist season are absolutely realistic,” said Rumen Draganov, Director of the Institute for Analysis and Assessment of Tourism, speaking in an interview with FOCUS News Agency.
Mr Draganov commented on the statement of Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova about 5-7% increase of the number of foreign tourists expected in the forthcoming winter tourist season.
“This prognosis is based on two factors – the increase reported in the advance bookings, which already tops 20%, as a result of the collapse of the British currency vs the euro, and the good reputation of the Bulgarian winter resorts,” the expert explained.
