Foreign Tourist Arrivals to Bulgaria Rise 6.5% in July

The number of foreign tourists visiting Bulgaria rose by an annual 6.5% to 2.15 million in July, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Tuesday.Citizens of EU member states accounted for 61.3% of all arrivals of international visitors in July, the NSI said in a monthly report on tourist numbers.Vacation trips made up 57.2% of all foreign tourist visits in July, while business trips made up 7.4%.The number of people who visited friends or relatives in Bulgaria or just transited the country constituted 35.4% of all arrivals of foreign nationals in July.
