The number of foreign tourists visiting Bulgaria rose by an annual 3.4% to 575,200 in November, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Friday. Citizens of EU member states accounted for 54.8% of all arrivals of international visitors in November, the NSI said in a monthly report on tourist numbers. Vacation trips made up 31.9% of all foreign tourist visits in November, while business trips accounted for 20.7%. The number of people who visited friends or relatives in Bulgaria or just transited the country constituted 47.4% of all arrivals of foreign nationals in November. In November, the largest share of foreign tourists came from Romania, Greece and Turkey.
