First Flights at Water Airports Seen in Summer - Deputy Transport Minister

The first licences for the operation of water airports in Greece will be issued on Friday, as the first flights are expected to start in early summer, deputy transport minister Michalis Papadopoulos said, as quoted by the Athens News Agency-Macedonian Press Agency.

The flights are expected to improve coastal areas connectivity and boost the economy of the islands.

Papadopoulos also stressed that Greece should exploit its geographical position and become a European transport hub.
