FinMin Omnibus Bill Moved to Parliament

The government moved to Parliament on Tuesday evening an omnibus draft bill on reforms in the labour, economic and public administration sectors drafted by the finance ministry in line with the terms set forth by the Troika of lenders for the disbursement of 6.8 billion euro of financial aid by October, the Athens News Agency reported.

The process to set the level of the minimum wage will begin in the last ten days of February each year, as of 2017 as provided for in the omnibus bill, the news agency reported. The process will be completed in the last fortnight of June, following the proposals forwarded to the Cabinet by the labour minister, having considered the outcome of consultations between employers and employees.
The Cabinet will then adopt the decision which will set the bottom salaries and wages.
