FDI in Bulgaria Rises by 22.5% in 2015, Central Bank Says

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bulgaria increased by 22.5% last year, reaching 1.58 billion euros, the country’s central bank announced on Wednesday.
The foreign direct investment in Bulgaria for January-December 2015 was equivalent to 3.5% of the annual GDP forecast by the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB).
According to preliminary data, equity investment by non-residents totalled 1.13 billion euros last year, an increase of 96.4% compared with 2014, the BNB said in a statement.
