Prime minister Boiko Borisov will propose to Cabinet to appoint Reneta Indzhova, former caretaker prime minister in 1994-1995, as head of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), replacing Mariana Kotseva, at a regular meeting of the government on Wednesday.
Kotseva will join the Eurostat Directorate-General as a special advisor, state-run Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported.
Born 1953, Indzhova has a Ph.D. in economics. She has been a professor with the University of National and World Economy and in the Technical University in Sofia, an economic adviser in the National Assembly and an executive director of the Privatisation Agency. She lived and worked in the United States for ten years.
