German Minister Hails Bulgaria’s Progress in Judicial Reform

The German Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection Heiko Maas has hailed Bulgaria’s progress in judicial reform. At a meeting in Berlin with the Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform Ekaterina Zaharieva he has vowed that the German side will continue to provide expert advice to Bulgarian Ministry of Justice in connection with the forthcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2018. In Berlin, Deputy PM Ekaterina Zaharieva met with the President of Konrad Adenauer Foundation Dr. Hans-Gert Poettering. The two officials have discussed the political situation in Bulgaria and Germany, the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Federal Republic and the latest developments in the Western Balkans.
