On the 25th of April, 2018, at the elegant Maison Hotel Sofia, HBCB in cooperation with Baker Tilly in South East Europe organized a seminar on the hot topic ‘’GDPR is here! How the new rules will affect your business’’.
The seminar was attended by representatives from the Greek Embassy and more than 80 HBCB members, managers and employees from Baker Tilly Klitou, interested in the subject.
In the first part of the seminar Mrs. Svetla Marinova, Director of tax and law, Baker Tilly, gave detailed information about the importance of expected rules of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which will come into force by May 25th 2018.
The key note speaker Mr. Georgios Korellis, special guest from Cyprus, GDPR, privacy, security and technology specialist, spoke extensively about the GDPR readiness assessment and how the new law will affect the businesses in Bulgaria and the EU. He also talked about GDPR strategy implementation and execution of all approved actions for achieving GDPR compliance.
Mr. Korellis delivered an exceptional speech, full of examples and practical implementations which kept high the interest of the participants through the main part of the seminar.
The presentations provided valuable feedback on the implementation of GDPR user rights, privacy and security policies and provoked lively discussions among the participants.
The seminar was followed by a light cocktail where guests had the opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions in a more informal atmosphere.
