Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov Attends Business Breakfast with Representatives of the Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov met with over 120 notable representatives of member-companies from the Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria during a business breakfast at the Stedetz Hall of Sofia's Balkan Hotel on 22 January 2015. The theme of the meeting was “Program for Economic Development of Bulgaria and Attracting of New Investments.” The business event was also attended by a large part of the Bulgarian Cabinet – Mr. Tomislav Donchev, Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Economic Policies, Mr. Vladislav Goranov, Minister of Finance, Mrs. Lilyana Pavlova, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Mr. Bojidar Loukarski, Minister of Economy. The new Executive Director of the Invest Bulgaria Agency, Mr. Stamen Yanev, was also present at the breakfast.
Their excellencies the ambassadors of Greece and Cyprus also took part in the meeting. Mr. Stamatios Theodoropoulos, Chairman of the Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria, opened the meeting by greeting everyone participating in it. Mr. Dimosthenis Stoidis, Ambassador of Greece to Bulgaria, delivered a salutatory. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov presented the Bulgarian government's priorities for attracting foreign investments and shared his vision for the country's development in the coming years. The event ended with a lively discussion between owners and manages of big Greek and Cypriot companies that are members of the Council and the government officials. During the two-hour meeting, there was a real-time discussion on practical solutions to problems that have been hampering the business of member-companies for months.
All of the participants' responses to the event were positive and a desire to organise similar meetings in the future was also voiced.
