Greece's National Public Health Organization (EODY) President Panagiotis Arkoumaneas proposed a European platform to coordinate actions by organizations for the protection of refugees' and migrants' health, in a video conference on Thursday with European Commission Vice-President for Promoting European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas.
This proposal reportedly aims to joint tackling of cross-border health crises, in the context of both the Commission's European Health Union initiative and the EU's new Pact on Migration & Asylum.
The two officials discussed the coronavirus pandemic's management, while Arkoumaneas briefed Schinas on actions by EODY and the Health ministry.
