European Commission Lowers GDP Growth Forecast for Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s economic recovery in the 2013-2015 period will be slower than expected earlier, the European Commission said in its Autumn 2013 European Economic Forecast, issued on Tuesday.
The Commission sees Bulgaria’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth this year at 0.5%, down from 0.9% projected in May.
It estimates that in 2014 Bulgaria’s economy will expand by 1.5%, revising an earlier projection for 1.7% GDP growth.
